About the Trust

Parenta Trust

Providing early years education to deprived children across the world. 
The Parenta Trust was set up in 2013 by Allan Presland, CEO of Parenta. His mission was to educate the youngest, most vulnerable children from deprived areas across the world by building pre-schools and providing a sponsorship programme.

The Parenta Trust works in partnership with Fields of Life, an organisation on the ground in Uganda, which has over 20 years’ experience in building schools for impoverished children.

Together, we ensure that 91p in every pound is put towards building pre-schools for children in need of a quality education. All the money we raise is used to create a positive, lasting change for infants and their families.


Six years ago, Allan's quest to build 1 pre-school per year for orphaned and disadvantaged children began. So far, he has managed to build 5 of these life-changing pre-schools in Uganda and fundraising for the next two nursery schools is well underway. 

Five years ago, Allan's quest to build 1 pre-school per year for orphaned and disadvantaged children began. So far, he has managed to build 4 of these life-changing pre-schools in Uganda and plans to open a fifth later this year. 

Our Trustees

The Parenta Trust has the support, passion and driving force of some remarkable people who are united in the belief that all children deserve to have a basic pre-school education, no matter where they are in the world.

By creating the Parenta Trust, our trustees have taken the first steps to realise their vision of a world where all pre-school children feel safe, loved and cared for.

Our Pre-Schools

To date, we’ve built 5 pre-schools.

Each pre-school we build can accommodate between 140-250 orphaned and underprivileged children and is designed to ensure they get the best possible start in life – one that every child deserves.

  • Kiti Parents Nursery School - November 2016 - 250
